The single biggest fallout of the pandemic was the lockdown. Introduction of work from home and closure of physical offices caused a flood of layoff of non-essential staff. This affected a large section of the community.
Today many families are struggling to make ends meet and care for loved ones. Many are out of work, facing mounting piles of bills and increased responsibilities for groceries, rent/bill payments, medical supplies & so much more.
We at JAC have launched the “Family Sustenance Campaign” as an emergency response – to help provide a safety net to Shia families. We at JAC aim to directly support these families by providing a minimum wage in cash to run their home or part pay their bills.
We believe that people know best what they need most. Families can use this cash for whatever is most urgent in their life – to cover childcare, to pay the electric bill, to buy groceries, or anything else. Inshallah hopefully with your support till the virus abates and they are in employment again.
Together, we can weather this crisis. As we find the way forward, cash is critical, and kindness is key. Please, spread the word, share with everyone, & contribute towards this noble cause today.
We are asking the entire community to dig deep and give whatever they can to help secure the future of our very special charity.
