India’s second wave of COVID-19 is causing unprecedented devastation. The health system remains extremely stressed across India. A critical shortage of ICU beds, oxygen supply, and even cremation grounds is compounding the tragedy.
In a crisis of this magnitude, local knowledge counts. JAC is mounting a wide response to provide lifesaving support on the front lines. JAC is partnering with trusted nonprofit organizations and individual donors to support frontline health workers and Hussaini Warriors (Volunteers) and at-risk communities.
JAC is responding to recent surges of COVID-19 inside Bangalore city, including procurement of PPE, Hand sanitisers, disinfectant sprays, facemasks, isolation gowns, protective coveralls, exam gloves, and other protective gear for the front liner’s and Hussaini Warriors (Volunteers). Apparently with complete adherence to Covid SOPs burials are been conducted with complete regard and respect to the departed by the Hussaini Warriors at Bangalore city.
JAC has provided critically needed support for Covid patients like Ambulance service & ‘Find a bed’ initiative which helped many covid-19 patients by providing them with real-time information of hospital beds and arranging them Oxygen beds, HDU /ICU beds with ventilator in their area. Shia Doctors used their network to find beds for ailing patients.
Procurements for additional supplies and equipment are well underway.
